Dice Pilot

I came up with a unique test that can be easily incorporated into everyone's practice routines. It uses a weighted score to reward GTC results using the hardway set. Dom, Frank, and the first WCC conference group are evaluating this test for possible use in next years WCC competition.

A high score on this test truly shows that the shooter has an advantage and influence over the result. About 15 GTC members have tried this test with very positive reviews. So here it is......

Each shooter takes 10 rolls of the dice. Every shot is evaluated and scored based on the following criteria:

5 Points = Primary Hit 2/2, 3/3, 4/4, 5/5

4 Points = Secondary Hit 3/2, 5/3, 5/4, 4/2

3 Points = Any Box number made using a 6 or 1 3/1, 4/1, 5/1, 6/4, 6/3, 6/2

2 Points = Any Crap number totaling 2, 3, 11, 12

1 Point = Bonus Point for Accuracy which both die must land without crossing the pass line and stay in the landing zone area.

0 Points = 6/1 Seven out

-1 Point = 5/2 or 4/3 Double Pitch

-2 Points for missing the back wall with both die

A perfect score is 60 points with 10 hardways and 10 bonus accuracy landings. If you throw a hard way and miss the back wall the score is 3 points. Hitting a secondary number with a bonus landing will score 5 points.

Give this test a try. At a recent practice session, the GTC west coast group is scoring in the 34-43 score range.
