Practice Rigs & Tables

Practice craps tables & dice control rigs.

Practice like the pros on regulation equipment. Golden Touch throwing stations and practice craps tables are handmade from birch plywood by a master carpenter, built to regulation casino height with true back-wall pyramids β€” and every table is autographed and dated by the Dominator. Muscle memory only transfers to the casino when your practice surface matches the real thing.

Which One

Three setups, one throw.

Dice control is a throw repeated until it is the same every time. What changes between setups is how much of a real craps table you are repeating it on.

One piece

The receiving station

A free-standing practice craps table: regulation height, regulation back-wall pyramids and a top that is 1.5 inches thick where the dice land, the same as a casino table. It gives you the half of the throw that tells the truth β€” how the dice arrive and what they do off the back wall.

Two pieces

Throwing and receiving stations

Add the throwing station and you practise at real distance: stand at a padded rail, deliver, and land on a regulation surface. Distance exposes what a short toss hides β€” dice that rotate off-axis, drift apart or land short. Both pieces pack away when you are done.

Closest to a casino table

The half craps table

The working half of a casino table β€” full-size layout, regulation height, genuine pyramid back wall β€” in 4 feet by 4 feet, with folding legs and no assembly. Pair it with the throwing station and, in Dom's words, you have 98% of what a full table gives you without the room a full table needs.

Watch

See the stations in action.

The Dominator walks through each practice station and shows how the two work together.

Getting Taught

A rig is where the work happens. A seminar is where it gets corrected.

Practice makes a throw permanent, not perfect β€” so it pays to have the throw checked before you groove it. Learn the method at a Golden Touch seminar or a private lesson, then drill it at home. Need the real thing? We also build full-size casino craps tables.

Questions

Practice rigs, answered.

Anything else, call 1-866-738-3423 β€” we answer the phone personally.

What is the difference between the throwing station and the receiving station?

+
They are the two ends of a craps table. The throwing station is the end you shoot from: secure metal legs, a rail strong enough to sit on and a thickly padded arm rest, so your stance and delivery match a casino rail. The receiving station is the free-standing practice craps table the dice land on, with regulation height, regulation back-wall pyramids and a casino-thickness top where the dice land.

Why does the thickness of the table top matter?

+
Because the bounce is what you are practising. Where the dice land, a Golden Touch top is 1.5 inches thick β€” the same as a casino craps table β€” so the dice come off the surface and the back wall the way they will in a casino. On the half craps table that landing zone runs from the back wall out 18 inches; the rest of the top is 3/4 inch to keep the weight down so the legs can fold for storage.

How much room does a practice rig need?

+
The half craps table is 4 feet by 4 feet, has folding legs and needs no assembly. The throwing and receiving stations are separate pieces, so you set the throwing distance to suit the room and put them away afterwards β€” the receiving station's legs fold, and the throwing station assembles in under three minutes.

How long does delivery take, and what does shipping cost?

+
Every rig is handmade to order, so allow several weeks; the current estimate and shipping charge are shown on each rig above. The stations ship within the continental US for a flat charge. The half craps table goes by ground freight, which is quoted and charged when it ships, because freight rates vary by destination.

Are the tables really signed by the Dominator?

+
Yes. Dominic "The Dominator" LoRiggio autographs and dates the Golden Touch practice tables. They are built by a master carpenter from birch plywood and made in the USA.

Can I order by phone, or from outside the continental US?

+
Yes to both. Call 1-866-SET-DICE (1-866-738-3423). Online orders at the Gambler's Outpost are for continental US delivery; for anywhere else, call and we will work out shipping with you.

Do you sell full-size casino craps tables?

+
Yes β€” see full-size casino craps tables. If you do not have room for one, the half craps table paired with a throwing station gives you, in Dom's words, about 98% of what a full table does.

Do I need a practice rig to learn dice control?

+
Not to begin. Grip, set and release can be drilled on a kitchen table. A regulation rig matters once you are working on distance, spin and bounce off the back wall β€” which is where a throw is made or lost. Read how dice control works, or have your throw corrected in person at a seminar.
