Now Don’t Get Me Angry
I am not one to pretend nothing bothers me. I envy best selling author and my partner Frank Scoblete because he is able to take everything in stride and he doesn’t let anything get to him. But things get to me.
A big thing that irritates me is the craps player who has been taught the right bets to make to keep the house edge low but he still make bets that have outrageously high edges against him. How stupid can you be to make bets at the craps table that take so much money from you? Players betting the Whirl, the Horn, the Hardway are just saying to the casinos, "Here, take my money, please!"
Now, in Golden Touch we use the revolutionary software program called SmartCraps to ascertain what our edge really is with our controlled throw. With SmartCraps you can’t pretend or kid yourself into thinking you have an edge with your controlled throw if, in fact, you don’t have an edge. SmartCraps can’t be fooled. It tells you your edge and the best dice sets to use based on the mechanics of your particular throw.
My edge is enough to overcome even some of the worst bets at the game. But Frank constantly tells me not to waste such good shooting on bets like that. Instead make the good bets where my edge will win me much more money. Since I hooked up with Frank my betting has become much better at the table. I am one old dog who learned new tricks and even though I am not perfect, I never make a bet that my skill can’t overcome and now I rarely make bets that don’t make me a decent profit.
If you are a regular craps player, meaning you have no dice control skill, then you must keep the house edge at bay as well. Betting the Horn will lose you $12.50 for every $100 you wager. Betting on the Pass Line or Come will lose you only $1.41 for every $100 you wager. So which is better? That isn’t too hard to see.
So why do craps players make such bad bets?
I guess they think of such bets as action. But to the casinos an "action" player means a dope – plain and simple. Why be a dope? I don’t know.
