A lot of players have the wrong idea about dice control. They think that once you have this skill you win almost every time you shoot. The fact is this is not true. You are very much like a 300 hitter in baseball – you will have more losing rolls than winning rolls – but like a 300 hitter you will still make a profit because some of these rolls will be monsters.

Check out the World Records page on this site and carefully go through all the people who have rolled 40 or better hands (most of them have done this many times!). Now check all the people who have rolled 50 or better hands – those are rolls of such size you may never have seen one in your entire playing career. There is an amazing number of them aren’t there?
