This and That
By Fred, Marketing Manager
Frank is busily writing up the spectacular reports of the great WCC (World Craps Championships) that took place on July 22 and 23. We’ll have all the reports and all the champions and winners listed in about a week.
We had a Hollywood producer there making a movie; we had photographers there taking pictures; and we had 160 enthusiastic players from all over the country playing in the tournaments and watching the competition and enjoying the Awards Dinner.
Have patience, as the results will be posted soon.
Frank Scoblete has received some recent letters asking about the Captain and his original crew – you’ll remember that Frank wrote about them in his classic book Beat the Craps Out of the Casinos: How to Play Craps and Win! which is now beginning to look as if it is going to be a million seller.
The Captain, 84 years young, has only played a few times in 2006 – he had a 50+ roll in the spring. His wife is not well and he has slowed down from playing once a week to now playing when he can. He is the World Record holder with a roll of 147 and Frank has a great article about this on our site. The Captain also has a 100-number roll as well.
The Arm is still alive but she hasn’t played in over a decade. According to Frank, "The Arm was the best of all time."
Many other members of the Captain’s crew have passed away: Jimmy P., Joe, Russ the breather; the Doctor; the Judge; Vic; John the Analyzer and Frank the fearful.
Satch, the youngest member of the Captain’s crew, is now an assistant instructor in Golden Touch Craps and he has many fond memories of playing with the Captain, the Arm, and the Captain’s Crew. If you meet Satch ask him about these great times.
Frank has written all about these legendary days in Atlantic City in the 1980s and through the mid-1990s but Satch has his personal memories and reflections too. Some lucky students of Golden Touch Craps have now gotten to meet and play craps with the Captain – and what a thrill they have had doing so.
The GTC schedule for 2007 is now complete and should be posted on the web site already. We will be doing an advanced class (as well as a regular class) in Atlantic City on March 24 and 25. Our recommendation as to who should take the advanced class is as follows:
- You have already taken a GTC course.
- You have already taken a refresher course.
- Your SRR shows a definite edge at the game of craps
- Optional: SmartCraps, a great software program, also shows that you have axis control.
The advanced class films your throw on a DVD and also teaches some of the finer points of controlled shooting for those whose throws are already good. We will also be introducing our new Longshot Throw in the October, 2006 class in Vegas and we will teach it in the Atlantic City class as well. This is not a substitute for our regular GTC throw but an addition to it.
And Frank will continue to teach a deep form of relaxing mediation to all the advanced students as well.
The price of the advanced course is just $995. To sign up call FRED at 1-800-944-0406.
Frank’s new book Golden Touch Blackjack Revolution (which comes with a CD so you can practice) has shot off like a rocket and has been the top selling blackjack book on Amazon.com. If you wish to learn the easiest advantage play method ever developed for blackjack this is the book for you. As Dominator states: "You have to be crazy to play blackjack now without using Speed Count and the Optimum Basic Strategy to get the edge over the casino. It’s so easy a 12-year old can do it."
