The Dice They Are Rolling!
Welcome to our new feature on our main page. With over 5,000 members on our private site (The Craps Club) and so many noteworthy individuals, we have decided to keep you abreast of the news from the controlled shooting world - the world of Golden Touch Craps.
The Captain finally got back into action in 2006. Until late May, he had not played one day this year. Unfortunately his wife is ill and this has caused him to spend time at home. However he did get to the casinos for a few days in May and rolled a wonderful 51 times before he sevened out. "I played maybe four hours in two days but I was pretty hot," he said. The Captain is modest. He had only one losing roll in those four hours!
Several other GTCers were also in the 50+ category these past few months - with Michael Vincenzo banging the Vegas casinos with a 50 roll hand; J. Shiner having a 51-roll hand and Patricia S. knocking them dead at 52 rolls in Vegas; Pistol Pete had a 53 roll hand in May in Tunica; Two Bit came in with a 54 roll hand in Las Vegas; John Corte with a 54 roll hand in Vegas.
Our instructors have been pretty hot lately too. Dominator rolled a 57 hand in Tunica and Frank Scoblete banged out 59. These two hands were done on the same day at the same table. During that same stretch of time Charlie "Tenpin" homered with a 54-roll hand as well.
Now to the "I never saw a person shoot so many numbers" category (this is what happens much more frequently when you have developed your Golden Touch throw - the monster hands come much more frequently):
A well-known poster on our private site, ACPA, blistered the tables with a humongous 61-roll hand in Tunica in May.
Mike Campagna (Senior) shot a mind-blowing 61 numbers in Niagara and everyone kept asking his son (Mike Jr.) if this was the Captain. This is also the new World Record for the No-Sevens in casino play as he didn't roll a seven until he sevened out. Amazing. Just as amazing is Mike Campagna Senior's ability to create beautiful works of art from wood. Dominator and Frank Scoblete have several of these masterpieces in their homes.
But topping even Mike Senior was Polly, who had to brave wind, rain, ice, a lost hotel reservation and other horrors in order to attend our GTC class in Tunica in February 2006. The craps gods looked down upon her and rewarded her with a mind-blowing 68-roll hand in May. That is the greatest recorded roll by a woman in craps!
Finally, the MONSTER of monster rolls: Charlie Frey rolled a great 53 in Tunica and just to let everyone know he's for real, he came back some weeks later and rolled an incredible, unbelievable, spectacular 84-roll hand in May. That puts him in fourth place on the all-time list behind the Captain with 147, the Captain with 100, Frank Scoblete with 89 - and now there is Charlie at 84.
One last word: One of our great GTC members, Sandtrap, is having a Carotid Endarterectomy. All the prayers and well wishes are with you Sandtrap. We expect to see you bang out a few wins in the WCC in July.
Next week: The latest on our great World Craps Championships to be held in July in Vegas.
